LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Playing at Wyoming is hard on visiting teams, especially those that have come in ranked in the Top 25 this season.Josh Allen threw for two touchdowns, including a 29-yard score to C.J. Johnson with 1:07 left in the game, and Wyoming stopped a 2-point conversion attempt by San Diego State with no time on the clock to upset the No. 24 Aztecs 34-33 on Saturday. It was Wyomings second win this season over a Top 25 team. Wyoming beat then-No. 13 Boise State three weeks ago in Laramie. The Cowboys last beat two ranked teams in one season in 1999.Allen, who completed 16 of 31 passes for 282 yards and also rushed for 56 yards, said the two wins over ranked teams felt similar.Playing here in front of this crowd and at this elevation, its hard to play for four quarters when youre an away team, he said, referring to the oxygen-thin 7,220 foot elevation of War Memorial Stadium.Brian Hill added 131 yards on 31 carries and two TDs for the Cowboys (8-3, 6-1 Mountain West).Johnson finished with five catches for 85 yards.San Diego State (9-2, 6-1) was led by Christian Chapman, who completed 15 of 26 passes for 211 yards and two TDs. Chapmans last TD pass was a 23-yard desperation heave that Quest Truxton caught on the rebound with no time left. The play capped an 11-play, 99-yard drive, and also involved a lengthy review that overturned the original call on the field of an incomplete pass.Seeing that he caught that, it was like a little stab in the stomach, Wyomings Johnson said. But then seeing them go for two, I had faith in our defense.Aztecs coach Rocky Long elected to go for the win and Chapmans 2-point conversion pass attempt was knocked away by defensive back Antonio Hull.In going for the win, Long said he felt his team had the momentum after the 99-yard drive, which he described as unbelievable.Wish we would have moved the ball like that the other 99 percent of the game, he said.Rashaad Penny and Juwan Washington both returned kickoffs for touchdowns for the Aztecs. Pennys was 93 yards, and Washingtons 92 yards.Donnel Pumphrey, who entered the game as the nations leading rusher, was held to 76 yards on 17 carries. We just didnt give him much room to run, Wyoming coach Craig Bohl said.Still, Pumphrey surpassed Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett for third place on the NCAA career rushing list and now has 6,127 yards. He trails Ron Dayne, who amassed 6,397 yards at Wisconsin, and Ricky Williams, who gained 6,279 yards at Texas.THE TAKEWAYSan Diego State: The Aztecs have not won a game in the last 39 years when ranked. Since 1977, San Diego State is 0-4 in games played when the Aztecs are in the Top 25.Wyoming: The upstart Cowboys, who were 2-10 last year, remain tied for the conferences Mountain Division title with a shot at getting to the conference championship game on Dec. 3. If the Cowboys win their last game, they likely will face San Diego State for the conference championship back in Laramie.Im happy were still in the hunt for the Mountain West championship, and we got one more game to go, Hill said.POLL IMPLICATIONSSan Diego State: The Aztecs likely will tumble back out of the poll. They had won six straight to get back into the poll after being ranked earlier this season after San Diego State won its first three games.HARD TIME IN WYOMINGIn its four previous games, San Diego State had outscored its opponents 183-32. The offense entered Saturdays game averaging 293.9 rushing yards a game. The Aztecs defense was limiting opponents this season to an average of 15.2 points and 282.5 yards a game.On Saturday, Wyoming racked up 487 yards and outrushed San Diego State 205-178.STREAKS BROKENWyomings win broke San Diego States 17-game win streak against Mountain West opponents. It also snapped the Aztecs six-game winning streak and ended their 22-game streak of limiting opponents to less than 400 yards of total offense.UP NEXTSan Diego State: The Aztecs return home for their final regular-season game, hosting Colorado State next Saturday.Wyoming: The Cowboys close out the regular season on the road at New Mexico next Saturday night.---For more college football: http://collegefootball.ap.org and https://twitter.com/AP-Top25Nike Vapormax Dame Norge . -- There were so many positives from the Orlando Magics first victory of the season that it was hard for coach Jacque Vaughn to stop praising his players. The 29-year-old Baines has established himself as one of the top attacking full backs in the country and was the subject of two bids from United during the last off-season. Pathways might deliver cricketers ready for the big time, but players can still emerge from off the beaten one. Daniel Worrall is the latest proof. Watch 25-year-old Worrall bowl a single delivery from his unusual angled run-up, reminiscent of Malcolm Marshall jogging in from near mid-off, and you will quickly realise that he does not fit the typical modern template. But to borrow a line from a popular baseball book of this year, the only rule is it has to work. And Worralls method works. It worked to such an extent that last summer he was the Sheffield Shields second-leading wicket-taker with 44 at 26.18, and has now earned himself a call-up to Australias squad for the upcoming ODI series in South Africa. There was a little tree at the end of the garden when I was a kid, Worrall told ESPNcricinfo on Tuesday. If you wanted to get that bit of extra pace you had to go around the tree. Thats how it started, and I never really had any significant bowling coaching done until I was probably 19, so I havent really changed it much.A likely international debut will be a big step up for Worrall, who has played only 12 List A matches in his career, but he is used to big jumps. Four years ago, he was a commerce student at Melbourne University, living on a typically unhealthy student diet, when an offer came from South Australia to sign a rookie contract for the 2012-13 summer.Id finished two years there and Id just live on $40 a week and have a pack of mee goreng noodles for dinner every night, Worrall said. It was a bit of a change when I had to start taking my diet a bit seriously. For the first couple of years I probably wasnt as fit as I could or should have been, the penny hadnt quite dropped. But over the past couple of years working with [SA coach] Jamie Siddons and Stephen Schwerdt, the new fitness coordinator at the SACA, I just had to flick a switch and really commit to goals I had set for myself and things I wanted to achieve in the future.ddddddddddddIn Worralls own words, he wanted to have a red-hot crack. And South Australia, the state that had taken a punt on Worrall in the first place, were the benefit of his increased output last summer. Worrall and Joe Mennie were the Shields two leading wicket-takers and, along with Chadd Sayers, played key roles in the Redbacks reaching their first Shield final for 20 years. All three of those men have now received Australia call-ups: Sayers was part of the Test squad that toured New Zealand earlier this year, and Mennie will join Worrall in the ODI touring party in South Africa. At least Mennie will provide another familiar face for Worrall, whose only interaction with captain Steven Smith came in a pair of games in October when Smith smashed 84 not out, 67 and 152 not out for New South Wales.I dont think Ive ever met him properly, Worrall said. Ive shaken his hand after hes belted us around the park in a Shield game. But thats about it. It will be great to be on the same side as him. It will be all brand new, apart from a couple of guys with the SACA like Travis Head and Adam Zampa, and a couple of guys from the Melbourne Stars.Regardless of what happens in South Africa, the call-up has certainly justified Worralls decision to shift from Victoria to South Australia in 2012. It may not all have been smooth sailing along the way - he was suspended by South Australia in 2014 for a bizarre incident in which he etched a lewd image into a pitch - but the end result has been better than he could ever have imagined. In hindsight I think it was a great move because it allowed me the chance to play first-class cricket, Worrall said, whereas I dont think Id have had that opportunity as early at Victoria, with guys like Boland, Hastings, McKay, Siddle, Pattinson.
