Sky Sports News HQ has seen a copy of a letter sent by the Prime Minister in response to calls for him to meet the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) about ticket prices. In the letter, David Cameron does not agree to meet the FSF, but he does talk about the importance of keeping the cost of football at a sensible level. He says: Clubs need to ensure that their ticketing policies provide the right balance between value for supporters and generating income necessary to sustain their business. The Football Supporters Federation said: Many fans feel theyre paying too much for their match ticket so were pleased to hear that the PM has warned the Premier League to remember that its success is built on the loyalty of supporters.Clubs should also take note of the PMs belief that there needs to be stronger dialogue between clubs and fans - its something clubs have signed up to via an Expert Working Group and they must deliver on that commitment. In his letter to Shadow Sports Minister Clive Efford, who posed the question during Prime Ministers Questions on February 10, Mr Cameron said he does not support the idea of making it compulsory to have supporter trust representatives on club boards.
